Kevin is the General Manager of Egg Strategy as well as a firm partner and a valued project leader. In his GM role, he tries to keep the Egg engine running smoothly, which in extreme cases has been known to cause him to “call a meeting.” His managerial background extends as far back as 1994, when he managed his ad agency’s softball team to a mediocre record but attracted key beer-supplying sponsors. Despite his tenure in advertising agencies, Kevin somehow found a way to appreciate a good profit and loss statement, seek out ways to maximize our staff’s efficiency, and speak to legal matters with impressive authority. (Though we deeply suspect that most of his jurisprudence stems from watching a lot of L.A. Law as a kid.)
Kevin joined Egg Strategy as a senior strategist in early 2000, and has since led a number of high-profile engagements with high-profile brands, particularly in the service and hospitality segments. Among his favorite Egg projects are those for MGM Mirage, Cirque du Soleil, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, 20th Century Fox, and Coors Brewing. While he has significant internal responsibilities for Egg, Kevin continues to lead qualitatively-driven projects, contributing his moderating skill and developing positioning, product development, and advertising-related strategies.
Before moving to Boulder to join Egg, Kevin spent seven years as an account planner for San Francisco agencies including Goldberg Moser O’Neill and J. Walter Thompson. He earned full Boulder citizenship by completing his first triathlon, but never misses a chance to celebrate his Southern California roots with a stop at In-n-Out Burger. Kevin graduated from Stanford University in 1991 with a political science degree, followed by a year spent with the Notre Dame athletic staff and a year on the slopes of Vail before returning to San Francisco. But he is happy anywhere there is a flatscreen TV and ESPN.
