As Managing Director -- Boulder, Jonathan provides leadership on many of our major innovation-oriented client engagements. He brings both a deep understanding of client organizations and challenges, as well as a passion for team-building, to the company. In addition to his project work, he leads Egg’s staff development programs and helps ensure that world-class strategic thinking is delivered across the range of Egg clients.

Jonathan joined Egg in 2007 after significant successes with some of the biggest hitters in the packaged goods arena, including leading existing core brands as well as new product innovation and launches. Most recently, he led Mars UK’s chocolate business as a Segment Director, and was directly responsible for reversing a 10-year category decline among portfolio brands including Twix, Snickers and Mars itself. As a result, Jonathan was honored in 2007 as Mars Europe Region’s “Marketer of the Year.” While working in the US and Europe for Diageo, he helped develop the Smirnoff Twisted V brand, Smithwick’s Irish Ale and Smirnoff Norsk. He has also held marketing posts at Kraft and Unilever.

Jonathan has made Boulder his family’s new base for long camping trips throughout the United States. He is also a major roller-coaster fiend, with his penchant for highs and lows proving useful in his other passion – following his beloved but star-crossed Newcastle United footie team, whose results can now be occasionally be found in the very back pages of minor sporting weeklies.
