carol dorf
Carol started her career in consumer insights from the ground up…literally. From pounding the pavement in mall parking lots looking for survey participants, to strategic thought leader at a major advertising agency in Chicago, Carol has spent her career figuring out how to connect people with brands.
Prior to joining Egg Strategy, Carol was VP of Brand Strategy at DDB Chicago working with leading brands in a variety of industries – from fast food and insurance to skin care and industrial technologies. She guided the strategic development of several new McDonald’s menu items that led to reinvigorating brand sales (she swears she limited herself to one visit per week). In her role on State Farm, she helped define the brand’s value proposition and grow the business by reaching out to underdeveloped customer segments. Her efforts earned her a coveted Effie award for effective advertising for State Farm’s young adult campaign, NowWhat. Her work on Emerson, a global technology brand has allowed her to boastfully claim to be one of the few non-engineers who knows what a multivariate vortex flowmeter actually does.
Carol brings a solid qualitative and quantitative research background to Egg, having worked on the research supplier side prior to DDB, where she was Vice President at C&R Research in Chicago.
She holds a B.S in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
In her spare time, you’re likely to find Carol trying to perfect her serve on the tennis court, or conquering the high seas (OK, technically it’s Lake Michigan) where she is regular crew on a 35 foot sailboat.
